SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP)—Bim Okunrinboye scored 16 points and made two free throws with 18 seconds left in San Jose State’s 55-49 victory over Cal State Northridge on Saturday.

Sergei Lepiashinski scored 12 points for Cal State Northridge (2-3), which lost leading scorer Ian Boylan to foul trouble with nearly 10 minutes to play. The Matadors shot 33.3 percent from the field and failed to score 50 points for just the second time in coach Phil Braswell’s eight seasons.
After the game, San Jose State coach Phil Johnson said center Keith Everage quit the team in a dispute over playing time. Everage, a sophomore, averaged 4.3 points this season.
