Mississippi St 92, McNeese State 69
STARKVILLE, Miss. (AP)—Winsome Frazier scored 18 points Monday night as Mississippi State rolled to a 92-69, victory over McNeese State.
Timmy Bowers added 17 points and Lawrence Roberts collected his 25th career double-double, with a game-high 14 boards and 10 points.
With the win, Mississippi State remained unbeaten at 4-0 while the Cowboys fell to 3-2.
The Bulldogs built and maintained a comfortable lead in the sixth meeting between the two schools.
After McNeese State’s Edward Garriet hit a 3-pointer to cut the MSU lead to 12-7, the Bulldogs exploded on a 26-5 run for a 38-12, lead with seven minutes left in the opening half.
The Bulldogs shot 59 percent for the game while holding the Cowboys to 32 percent.
Edward Garriet led McNeese State with 23 points and Ryan Price scored 15.
Mississippi State faces Louisiana-Monroe Wednesday night.
