TAMPA, Fla. (AP)—John Grice scored 16 points and Chris Massie had 15 to lead Memphis past South Florida 73-66 Saturday night.

Antonio Burks added 11 points for Memphis (18-5, 9-3 Conference USA) en route to its seventh consecutive victory.

Grice added 11 rebounds and Massie had 10 for the Tigers.

Will McDonald scored 21 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead South Florida (13-11, 6-7), which slipped to 12-2 at home. Brian Swift and Jimmy Baxter had 15 and 13 points, respectively, for the Bulls.

Memphis withstood 13 unanswered points by South Florida midway through the second half, then rode a 16-2 run to a 63-52 lead with three minutes left.

The Tigers closed the first half with a 12-2 run and led 32-24 at the break after seven lead changes and six ties.

South Florida scored the first eight points of the second half to pull even again, then surrendered the next seven to fall behind 39-32.

Baxter triggered a 13-0 run to give the Bulls a 45-39 lead before the Tigers took control.

Memphis leads the all-time series 14-3 and has won four in a row at the Sun Dome.

The Bulls won 75-74 at Memphis on Jan. 18 for their only victory in 10 road games this season.
