The Tar Heels shot a season-high 54 percent while holding the Aggies to 35 percent. The Tar Heels also converted 19 Aggies turnovers into 26 points.

The game eventually turned into a slam-dunk exhibition, particularly in the second half when the Tar Heels led by as many as 42 points. David Noel threw down a 360-degree dunk and even reserve forward Will Johnson had a rare two-handed dunk to put North Carolina ahead 78-37 with 6:20 left.
