PHILADELPHIA (AP)—Maurice Collins scored 18 points and David Hawkins added 16 as Temple beat North Carolina State 76-54 on Saturday.

The Owls extended the lead in the second half, scoring the first 11 points and 16 of the first 19 to go ahead 42-28 with 11:42 remaining. Wesby had five points and Hawkins had four during the second-half spurt.
