PEORIA, Ill. (AP)—James Gillingham had 20 points and Phillip Gilbert added 17, including seven in overtime, as Bradley beat Southern Illinois 77-73 on Saturday.

Mike Suggs added 20 points for Bradley (10-14, 6-7 Missouri Valley), which won for the third time in four games.

Suggs’ 3-pointer capped an 18-5 run for Bradley in the second half and tied the game at 51.

Bradley took a two-point lead with less than a minute left, but Jermaine Dearman made a pair of free throws with 13 seconds to go for Southern Illinois (17-5, 12-2) to force overtime.

Dearman had 17 points and seven rebounds for the Salukis. Stetson Hairston led Southern Illinois with 18 points, but committed seven turnovers.
