PITTSBURGH (AP)—David Bell scored 20 points Saturday as La Salle beat Duquesne 82-74, handing the Dukes their eighth straight loss.

La Salle (10-10, 4-5 Atlantic 10) trailed by as many as 10 points in the second half before going on a 19-3 run to take the lead for good.

The Explorers were 31 of 36 from the foul line.

Steven Smith and Gary Neal scored 19 points apiece for the La Salle and Jermaine Thomas added 13 points.

Duquesne (7-16, 1-9) was led by Jimmy Tricco, who scored a career-high 23 points and tied a school record with seven 3-pointers.

But he was also one of three Dukes to foul out, leaving Duquesne without a hot hand.

Elijah Palmer scored 14 points and Brad Midgley added 12 points for Duquesne. Kevin Forney scored 11 points before he too, fouled out.
