ATHENS, Ohio (AP)—Kevin Netter scored 23 points, including all eight of Bowling Green’s points in overtime, as the Falcons beat Ohio 66-60 Tuesday night.
Neither team scored in overtime before Netter made a pair of free throws with 2:40 to play give the Falcons (10-7, 6-3 Mid-American Conference) a 60-58 lead. After Brandon Hunter made a jumper to pull the Bobcats (5-9, 2-4 MAC) to a 60-60 tie, Netter made two free throws, a dunk and two more free throws over the last 54 seconds.
The Bobcats jumped to a 36-22 halftime lead and had a 53-39 lead with 8:41 to play. The Falcons closed regulation on a 19-5 run. John Reimold capped the run with a 3-pointer with 40 seconds to play to tie it at 58. Jeff Halbert missed a jumper with four seconds to play.
Brandon Hunter led Ohio with 26 points and 15 rebounds and Steve Esterkamp had 14 points. Reimold had 17 points for Bowling Green, Ron Lewis had 13 and 11 rebounds and Netter had 10 rebounds.
