PEORIA, Ill. (AP)—James Gillingham scored 34 points for Bradley as the Braves beat Drake 72-57 Wednesday night.
Bradley (5-10, 1-3 Missouri Valley Conference) took control of the game early, jumping out to a commanding 42-20 lead at the half. Marcello Robinson was the only other Braves player in double figures with 13 points. Robinson was 4 of 8 from the 3-point line while the Braves were 9 of 20 from beyond the arc.
Drake (6-10, 1-4) got on track in the second half, but they were down too far to ever really challenge Bradley. Drake was led by J.J. Sola with 18 points, while Greg Danielson had 12 points and 10 rebounds.
Bradley converted 15 of 24 from the foul line with Gillingham going 9 of 10. Luke McDonald, who scored 6 points, was 4 for 4 from the line as Drake shot 5 of 6 as a team.
