(statistics before NCAA Tournament)

OUTLOOK: Stanford stumbled into the NCAA Tournament with four
losses in its last five games, and six in its previous nine.
Freshman 7-footer Brooke Lopez was coming on strong with four
20-plus point games before throwing in four- and six-point
clunkers in the last three contests. Twin brother Robin set a
school freshman record with 72 blocks but hasn't scored in
double figures in 14 games so the Cardinal's inside game looks
more daunting on paper than it has been on the court. One
positive for Stanford was the return of Goods in the Pac-10
tournament. He had missed six games with an ankle injury but
scored 19 points in an overtime loss to Southern California.
The Cardinal didn't get a favorable first-round matchup, having
to play Louisville 70 miles from its campus.

NEXT GAME: Thursday vs. (6) Louisville at Lexington, Kentucky
