North Carolina Central defeats Utah Valley 73-67

OREM, Utah (AP)—Jeremy Ingram scored 27 points and Stanton Kidd added 15 points and 10 rebounds to lead North Carolina Central to a 73-67 victory against Utah Valley on Saturday night.

Ray Willis had 13 points and Emanuel Chapman 12 for the Eagles (6-6), who defeated Utah Valley for the second time this year. N.C. Central won 70-52 on Nov. 27 in Durham, N.C.

Alfonzo Hubbard and Nick Thompson scored 19 points each for the Wolverines (6-8). Hubbard had nine rebounds.

Utah Valley trailed 69-67 in the final minute and had opportunities, but Holton Hunsaker and Hubbard missed 3-point attempts, and Thompson couldn’t connect on a jumper. Meanwhile, Ingram hit four free throws in the last 39 seconds to protect the lead.

Ben Aird and Antoine Hosley had 10 points apiece for the Wolverines.
