Winston-Salem beats Columbia Union 85-61

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (AP)—Brian Fisher scored 19 points to lead Winston-Salem to an 85-61 win against Columbia Union College on Monday night.

Jamal Durham added 15 points and Paul Davis chipped in with 10 for the Rams (4-8), who led by 25 points at halftime.

Shaheem McNair scored 17 points as the only player to score in double figures for the Pioneers (1-12).

The Rams shot 52.5 percent from the field (32 of 61) in the game compared to a 38.6 percent mark (22 of 57) for the Pioneers.

Mark Moore’s layup pulled the Pioneers within 17-11 with just under 12 minutes to play in the first half, but the Rams went on a 25-6 run from that point to put the game out of reach by the break.

It was the 11th straight loss for the Pioneers after opening the season with a win.
