Stetson beats Webber International 80-35

DELAND, Fla. (AP)—Garfield Blair scored 20 points and Eric Diaz added 11 to lift Stetson to an 80-35 win over Webber International on Wednesday.

Stetson (5-3) has won three straight and four of its last five games.

The 45-point win was the largest margin of victory in coach Derek Waugh’s nine-year tenure with the Hatters. Webber’s point total represented the fewest points allowed in Stetson’s history.

The Hatters, who never trailed, collected 10 points from Blair in the first six minutes en route to a 15-5 advantage. They gradually expanded that margin and led 37-19 at halftime.

Tyrell Harper paced the Warriors (6-4) with 10 points and was the only Webber player in double figures.

The Warriors shot only 30.4 percent from the field and failed to hit any of their 10 shots from beyond the arc. Stetson connected on nine 3-pointers, including three from A.J. Smith.
