Lamar routs Lyon to remain perfect

BEAUMONT, Texas (AP)—Brandon McThay scored 26 points and Kenny Dawkins had 19 to help keep Lamar unbeaten in a 97-54 victory over Lyon on Saturday night.

Lamar (5-0) had four player in double figures, pushed its home winning streak to 16 and is off to its best start in 11 years.

Anthony Miles had 15 points and 11 rebounds for Lamar, which shot a season-high 53 percent from the field.

Preston Butts scored 14 and Craig Amos had 11 for Lyon.
