Nabors scores 25 in Lamar’s 104-52 win over NAIA Lyon

BEAUMONT, Texas (AP)—Justin Nabors had 25 points and 10 rebounds to lead Lamar past Lyon 104-52 on Saturday night.

Nabors shot a blistering 10-of-14 from the field while Kenny Dawkins added 23 points for the Cardinals (5-6). Lamar Sanders and Darren Hopkins each 12 points and grabbed 10 rebounds.

Levi Taylor scored 16 points for Lyon, an NAIA school with 500 students in Batesville, Ark. Jonathan Donaldson had 12 points and Charles Black 11 for the Scots.

The Cardinals outrebounded the Scots 45-20 and shot 58 percent from the field to Lyon’s 40 percent. Lamar opened up a 57-26 lead at the halftime break.
