Robert Morris 83, Goucher 38

CORAOPOLIS, Pa. (AP)—Tony Lee had a career-high 27 points to lead Robert Morris to a 83-38 win over Goucher on Saturday.

The Colonials (8-3) controlled the game from the opening tip, taking a 10-0 lead and leading by as many as 31 in the first half. Robert Morris, which led 47-19 at halftime, opened the second half on a 12-2 run.

James Russo had 24 points—including seven 3-pointers—to lead the Gophers (4-6).

With the win, Robert Morris tied a school record for out-of-conference victories with eight. Their 8-1 mark outside of Northeast Conference play also set a school record for best winning percentage outside of league play (.889). The 1989-90 Colonials were 8-3. The Colonials’ only non-conference loss this season was at Pittsburgh.

Jimmy Langhurst and Kelvin Bright each had career highs in points with 14 and 13, respectively, for Robert Morris, which will play all Northeast Conference foes beginning next week.

The Colonials shot 49 percent, while Goucher shot only 28 percent. The 38 points the Gophers scored were the lowest total in school history.
