Timberwolves coach Kurt Rambis took one look around Target Center on Friday night and wondered what all the fabulous-looking people were doing there.

This isn't L.A. anymore, after all.

About 5,000 of those folks were wearing replica eyeglasses like the oh-so-fashionable ones Rambis wore when he played for the Lakers long ago.

Anything, apparently, to draw a crowd these days to Target Center, where the Wolves on Friday lost their 15th consecutive game and still haven't won a game since opening night on Oct. 28.

Too bad every pair of glasses had clear lenses and wasn't rose-colored.

Everybody from assistant coach Reggie Theus to the Timberwolves dancers and Kevin Love was wearing them.

While 35-year-old Steve Nash was running circles around players 15 years his junior on the court, the young Minnesota Timberwolves finally started to show signs that all this losing is getting to them. Frowns of frustration and blank stares of disillusionment washed over them as they creep closer to a record that nobody on the team wants to accomplish.

Even in their loss-filled existence, the Minnesota Timberwolves have never been this bad to start a season. Carmelo Anthony scored 22 points and Nene had 17 points, eight rebounds and six assists as the Denver Nuggets handed the Timberwolves their 14th straight loss with a 124-111 victory on Wednesday night.
