Minneapolis/St. Paul – NBA Board of Governors Chairman and Timberwolves majority owner Glen Taylor issued the following statement today regarding the NBA’s decision to relocate the 2017 NBA All-Star Game: “We fully support the NBA’s decision today to relocate the 2017 NBA All-Star Game from Charlotte. While it is important to note that the league continues its dialogue with Charlotte, the Minnesota Timberwolves and Lynx stand firm with the NBA to uphold our values of inclusivity which has made our league so successful on a global stage.”
The rumor mill runs hot and heavy this time of year, but the question is: could Oklahoma City point guard Russell Westbrook actually be on his way out of town? After Kevin Durant chose to leave the Thunder for the Golden State Warriors, it seems that the team may have difficulties being able to re-sign their other young star during 2017 free agency, which could result in them wanting to move him sooner than later.
