NBA Rumors: Rockets GM Rafael Stone, Assistant Eli Witus Signed Contract Extensions

The Houston Rockets are running it back for several more seasons with general manager Rafael Stone. The Rockets signed Stone and assistant general manager Eli Witus to "multi-year contract extensions earlier this season," according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski. Stone and Witus were named to their roles in 2020. The Rockets have not made it back to the playoffs since then, but the 2023 hiring of head coach Ime Udoka and Houston's subsequent 41-win season helped secure extensions for Stone and Witus, according to Wojnarowski.
