After being swept by the Lakers in the first round of the playoffs, the Nuggets are pondering whether they should blow up the team or come back with a similar cast.

For starters, the Nuggets will wait to see if shooting guard Allen Iverson opts out of his contract, something that is not likely. Assuming Iverson returns, the Nuggets need to solidify their backcourt with a point guard who meshes well with Iverson.

The Nuggets need players with more of a defensive presence after a season in which they often had to resort to outscoring opponents. They also could use some help in the post, especially considering they are never able to count on Nene's health.

The Nuggets might look to get their salary situation more under control.

Denver Nuggets All-Star Carmelo Anthony has been ticketed for speeding, three weeks after he was cited on a charge of driving under the influence. Police say Anthony was pulled over Saturday for driving 60 mph in a 45-mph zone. The 23-year-old was arrested on a DUI charge in Denver on April 14. He apologized the next day.
