F LeBron James scored 22 points on 10-of-19 shooting and grabbed seven rebounds to lead the Cleveland Cavaliers in a 108-72 loss to the Washington Wizards in Game Three of their first-round Eastern Conference playoff series on Thursday night. "We definitely didn't play well tonight," James said. "We can't carry this over to Game Four. They completely dominated us tonight on both ends. They executed. They shot the ball well. They defended us well. We know Sunday we can't come out and play like this. At this point, the series doesn't start until someone wins on someone else's home court. We have to better prepare ourselves mentally." ... The Cavaliers committed 23 turnovers that led to 30 points for the Wizards. "We did not handle it well at all," Cavaliers coach Mike Brown said of Washington's trapping defense. "They did extend their defense. Not only did they extend their defense, they extended their defense in the halfcourt as well. They got up into us and we didn't respond well." st 04-25-08 3:45 et |
