Well the Thunder deserved this win, the Lakers had a chance to take control of the series after game 2 and didn't. I don't think you need to break up the Lakers I think they need some outside shooting and big time PG like say Brandon Jennings I think he would be a perfect fit. If the Magic want to Trade D-Howard for Bynum I am for it, if the Lakers want to tarde Pau for a big time PG I am for it cause Sessions is a nice back-up not a starter. Keep metta world and the surround the Mamba for 1 more tittle run before he heads off into the sunset. Thunder were too young and too athletic, but the Lakers still had a chance to take control of the series in games 2 and 4, the Lakers had them and as Denny Green said "Let them off the hook".
Thunder/Spurs- A nice 1 vs 2 matchup both teams deserve to be here and should be a fun series to watch Spurs havn't been tested yet thunder have, so I look for Thunder to take game 2 not game 1 that goes to the spurs, and for all the crazy upsets the east have had it look like it's going to be 2 powers going at it deside who goes to the finals Boston vs Miami that should be a fun a series as well.
Kevin: Thanks for supporting the Kings ! L.A. hockey fans are pretty die-hard Stanley cup fevor is alive and well out here go kings Baby !!!

Dan I'm not a Kings fan but they are a team you want to root for this year. Sorry everyone to switch to hockey

I agre the Heat will win in 6 or 7 and the Celtics should win, and I think maybe the Heat and Thunder in the finals? I guess I shouldn't count out the Celtics and DEFINITELY shouldn't count out the Spurs. That was my vague prediction.

Well....Thunder...you did what I was hoping my Celtics were gonna do but did what I thought you were gonna do anyways. Too powerful...they trained hard the past few years and I knew it was their time to shine out there. Now we will get to see true Experience VS Youth!! This is the argument all have been stating which is better. The test of time...Im always one to be on the side of experience because well...Celtics. I'll get to Boston in a minute. The Spurs have had an easy first round vs the Jazz.. Not to say not impressive or that they are overrated but the Jazz was easy & didnt belong in the playoffs. The Clippers...haha my "New LA" well they are still the Clippers so you gotta put that into thought when they made the playoffs. A good team yes but getting swept looks bad on them for such a good season. The Thunder are a different caliber. Not going to be swept aside at all. If anything this series NEEDS to go 7 games! The NBA needs it & may even create it. Last night seeing the Thunder was incredible. Shyt it was actually scary how they played so incredible. The Heat did come storming back in & I had no clue what this series was going to be all about. I cant honestly count out either of those teams. I need to see the outcome of game 5. Its an interesting match up. The Celtics, they shoulda put to bed the 8th seed 76'ers long ago & need to "stop playing" & "start playing." They can close out in Philly & I dont see any reason why they just dont do it? Really! I guess its how they play, but yea still they should close out in Philly & get ready for the finals against a real team, no more bottom feeders. Nice to see who posted...hope to see a few more before its said & done cause I know alot of you are Lakers fans and I dont know why my Boston people arent posting!!!!!!?

Wanted to drop by to say HEY to all the regular-ranker posters and anyone new. My Lakers got what was coming to them by a better team. Congrats Thunder. OKC vs. Spurs should be a great series.

Celtics most likely smelling blood and will take down the pesky Sixers in 6.
Heat/Pacers, no Bosh, and yet it's 2-2. Have a feeling the Heat find a way to win this, maybe in 7.

Lakers got some rebuilding to do. Jimbo420Buss needs to let Mitch off-load Bynum. If Gasol needs to go, so be it, but must have a legit PG in return. Kobe is older, but still the most skilled player, he brought it and that should be enough for mgmt to make moves to get a better balanced team around him.

Ya'll have a great Summer, and yes, NBA Play-offs are FAN-TAS-TIC!!!

Man, I haven't been on here for forever! I'm so happy that Miami is back on track, and the 76ers beat the Bulls. I am counting on the 76ers to win by 8 and the Thunder to win by 10+ tonight.

    Eastern Divison
    Heat 4 Pacers 3
    76ers 4 Celtics 3

    Western Divison
    Thunder 4 Lakers 1

    Go 76ers, Thunder, and Heat!

Back to back playoffs is about as bad as the Celtics blowing away 18 point lead and losing by 10 & I thank you!
Lakers cant afford another loss so you best hope that young Thunder team is worn from it more than the Lakers otherwise its done and done. Spurs are gonna advance...Celtics need to pull that next at home. We can still do this in 6 and if the Pacers can just grab one more at home its gonna be some very interesting ball!

So seed 8 is not so easy anymore. Props to 76ers.and Pacers are looking for upset.
Lakers finally got some calls. When they were in OKC Kobe and co were getting no calls besides Bynum.
I hope this back to back will not turn out as bad as everyone thinks it would. I never heard of back to back in play offs. Thank you stern!
    Go Lakeshow!

For me this is exactly what I like to see! The fact that injuries are so key here is crazy! Look out Heat because you seen what happened to the Bulls without key players. Without a big, the Heat arent really able to match the Pacers & one more win for Indy would put Miami in a really bad spot but still dont count them out but I love seeing them take it in the mouth like this right now & would love to see them lose out for sure!
The Spurs are just too much for the Clippers & besides the Thunder I dont know who could hold anything to them. The Lakers are getting more than they can handle and really need to turn on that playoff switch right now. I think they can at home but if they dont take 2 straight then Im staying correct with the Thunder in 6.
Right down to my team the Celtics. After a close loss at home, having them blow out Philly in their own building just uped the anty cause now the Celtics are feeling it & feeling good! If they can take one more tonight then best believe Celtics in 5 at home!

Pacers are up 2-1 over the Heat

Lakers and Clippers are down 2-0

and the Celtics are up 2-1

I admit I don't watch alot of NBA but this is not how I thought the playoffs would look, but I kindof like it, because it makes it a hell of a lot more exciting.

Wow just a total beatdown by the thunder last nite, but the good thing for us Laker fans it was only 1 game and the last time I checked u need 4 games to win, game 2 will be tougher and don't expect Westbrook to go 10-15 again everyhting the Thunder threw up went in nobody in the league was gonna beat the Thunder last nite and again it's only 1 game. Lakers looked tired from a emotiona game 7 with the nuggets so hears hoping game 2 the real Lakers will show up.
Juno: Last time I checked the Lakers beat the Celt's twice this year so meeting them in the finals would be fine with me as well, Celt's are gonna have there hands full with philly anyway so good luck to you on that.
Spurs Clipps tonight I predict Spurs 100 clipps 92
Miami Pacers tonight I predict Heat 95 Pacers 93

X Juno, u r funny fella. I believe Perkins is playing for OKC now. So if Lakers somehow get to finals trough OKC and SUS your Cs are going down. No one to cover Our beast Bynum ( when he shows up), and u know it. Don't be greedy KB needs This one more then ur franchise :) . Chasing MJ. If u saw game 5, and 6 he was simply amazing. Making ridiculous turn around fade away jumpers with double team on him. He looked like #7, but no one else showed up and they lost.
BTW KB and RAY ALLEN now have almost same amount of made 3's in the play offs and soon they'll pass ReggieMiller, so with Allen being 37 soon and possibly retiring after next season, I see Kobe take this 3 point list. However, Ray will be always the king of all time 3 pointers made. I don't know if any one will ever pass him.
    Go Lakers!

Believe it or not I rather see the Lakers make their way in to the Western Finals as well as the NBA finals (as long as the Celtics are there) that way it'd make it easier for another trophy to come home to Boston.
    Anything is possible!!!!

Thank u yahoo. My 4am comment got erased after I went to Lakers game.
Lakers steal game 1 due to Perkins injury and Lakers momentum going into the game vs Thunder sat for 9 days and got rusted. Lakers win game 1 and their home games 3,4 and 6, so Lakers in 6.
    SAS in 6

    Celtics in 6
    Heat in 6
    To Lakers!

Juno: No shock your picking a Thunder series win U want my Lakers out of these playoffs more than dogs and cats want flea's off there body. If the Laker Bigs play like I have been saying all along BIG they can handle the Thunder, plus Perk isn't healthy and that is a big body that they need. Metta on Hardon, Kobe on Westbrook and let Durant get his 30 or 40 pts cause you can't stop him anyway. Lakers take game 1 99-95.
Spurs I think are the best team in the west atm Clippers will give them a series though Spurs in 6.

    Western conference semi finals predictions::
Spurs VS Clippers - I think this is the 3rd time in about 40yrs that the Clippers made the playoffs. The same team that took out the Spurs is the team that lost to these Clippers. Don't be confused the Spurs seem like a better team than last year. I'm gonna take the Spurs. It's hard to think of how many games. I think the Clippers are good but just not ready. Can't see more than 5 or 6 games.

Lakers VS Thunder & I talked about this for years but this time, this year is the year the Thunder have their number. Just like LeBron/Miami finally had theirs over Boston. The Thunder are better, faster, stronger & can beat L.A this year. I'd love a Celtics/Lakers match up but Thunder in 6.

Juno: I think the Pacers will give the heat a good run for there money. Bird has put together a good team over there and with the addition of David West + the emgenance of Paul George they might pull of a upset, but I don't see it either Heat in 6
Clippers Memphis going as I thought, but still a very entertaining series.
Lakers Nuggets tonight I have a wedding to go too lol and the groom is a BIG time Laker fan, I know Me and his boyz will be watching but will he. Prediction Lakers 95-Nuggets 87 (Kobe 34pts)

    Go lakeshow !!!!

As of right now only the East has teams ready so I'll make a few predictions.
Boston vs Philadelphia - Boston in 6....the 76'ers already lost their top spot to the Celtics after the All*Star break. They got a very lucky first round against the Bulls and losing its star players to injuries. Celtics play injured for years on end. Philly doesnt get that break.

Miami vs Indiana - The Pacers I need to see what they are made of. Im interested in seeing them against the heat. Should we count them out or are they actually contenders? Im still going to pick in hmm....Im gonna say err....6.

I'll take my win!!! Tomorrow it goes on, no rest for the weary indeed. Home court advantage huge yes you said it & I'm glad cause the Celts will have a better 2nd round than first. No bull get it! Yea the Bulls lost everything & the 76'ers were able to move on. Lakers...I think Kobe shoulda sat. There is only 1 flu game & Jordan only made it "look" easy. So now LA is in a potential bad spot with a rallied Denver team but again this is exactly where the experience comes threw. The opposite end of the country the mirror version of my team I can't see the Lakers losing to the Nuggets. The Clippers Could close this out but uh-uh maybe a game 7 but again I'm taking LA. Heat will expose the Pacers but I wish they wouldn't. My next post I'll make full round 2 predictions.

Hahnsy Juno: Nice job on your Celt's homecourting the Hawks last nite they got 2 big time homer calls, but having home court in the playoffs is why you play the regular season, and Celt's stole game 2 and held there own so congratz, and now you guys will play the 76ers a old school rivalry going back too Wilt and Russell and Bird and Dr J should be fun however I see the Celts winning that series in 6.
Where to start on the Lakers?? Well I too wanted this series to go 6 (like Dan) so Ron Ron wouldn't miss any OKC games, but Denver has a little confidence now and Kobe looked pretty sick last nite, and not in a good way. Laker bigs have to play BIG on Saturday they have never lost a game 7 at staples, and they better not take this game lightly like they did the other 2 or it will be a long summer.
I think the Memphis Clipper series will go 7 and then the grizz will close them out, it's been a great series either way very fun to watch. I will be posting more as the playoffs continue, I think all of our work lives have gotton busier which is a good thing so not seeing as much posts is gonna happen Later peeps.

    Go Lakers !!!

Kev, nice take on everything. Pretty spot on. Im actually surprised at all the game 6's. I really thought the other night was going to be a big close out but teams held on from the inevitable just a little bit longer.
First match up in the new is Pacers/Heat. I still think the Clippers will win the series but indeed may have to go to game 7. I dont think any of the other games will push beyond 6. With that being said then we know who Im picking to advance. Celtics who I wish could have capitalized in game 5 with that Rondo steal but couldnt. The 76'ers now instead of the Bulls so those 2 will be facing each other in the next round. Spurs/Clippers which I think the Clips will be just that clipped and the Thunder vs Lakers. Too bad Im working tonight...well all day. Its gonna snap right into my NBA Playoffs! >:(

Celts/ Hawks and Lakers/ Nuggets series are exciting, I think they will both end the series in the next game, just as the Heat will probably beat the Knicks tonight. Memphis may get one more win and the Bulls I'm not sure they might just be back in it. Anyways good playoffs this year.

Wow it's slow on this baord huh?!! Not like last year I guess.

Well the playoffs has atrted and has been fun soo far with Stoudemire punching fire extinguishers, Memphis blowing leads, Rose injuring himseld, Rondo bumping refs, etc... It can only get better from here right?!!

Celtics won't lose another game to Atlanta simply because ATL is depleted and undermanned (wasn't a good matchup for them ayways). Bulls are down 2-1 to Sixers but I still think they may win that series...not really worried about either of those teams anyways. Looks like the teams to beat in my eyes are the Spurs, OKC, and the Heat. I can see the C's/Heat meeting in the ECF, and OKC vs whomever in the WCF. Should be fun to watch...can't wait!!!

Hopefully no one else gets hurt and we can enjoy the rest of the postseason.

    Go Celtics!!!!!!!!!!
