It was very unclear on Monday if the Chicago Bulls' Derrick Rose(notes), the NBA Rookie of the Year, would be ready to get on the court for the team's season opener against the San Antonio Spurs on Oct. 29. Rose was saying he would be definitely and Bulls head coach Vinny Del Negro was saying, "Whoa, Nellie!"
Well, Rose is apparently coming over to the other side. He reportedly woke up with pain in his injured ankle yesterday morning after running for 20 or 30 minutes on Monday, according to the Chicago Tribune
Del Negro was apparently not amused when reporters asked him if Rose could miss the season. Still, you gotta think the Bulls are happy they didn't pick Michael Beasley(notes).
