LeBron James

What does the Cavaliers star LeBron James have against Cleveland's teams?

James, who was jeered by fans when he wore a Yankees cap to an Indians playoff game last season, showed up on the Cowboys' sideline before Sunday's game against the Browns. James mingled with the players and coaches, chatting up the owner Jerry Jones and hugging receiver Terrell Owens and cornerback Adam Jones. Maybe they were talking shop.

James was an all-state receiver in high school — 50-plus catches and 15 touchdowns by several accounts — before a broken finger on his shooting hand late in his junior year persuaded him to commit exclusively to basketball. (His mother had long campaigned for him to give up football.)

He can support who he wants, however, he needs to make sure that his boss is happy. When in Cleveland, support Cleveland. Anywhere else, support your teams.

Support your team -- and that's not always the home team. He grew up in Ohio -- haven't the Browns of the 80's -today usually sucked? As such the Cowgirls, as much as I hate them have been perinal contenters. The Yankess have been america's team for how long? I am a 49ers fan, a Spurs and a Atlanta Braves fan so what...there's only 1/3 of the support to my home team.

Personally i think its disrespectful to show up at a indians PLAYOFF GAME (in jim mora voice) with a yankee hat on. Come on now you play in Cleveland support the local teams the fans come and support you why not support the city back?

Okay I was at the tribe game and the LeBron in a Yankees cap was a tough pill to swallow.
I've heard lebron say he IS a browns fan, but T.O. is a friend of his. That's all their is to it. I like how this article insinuates that he's pulling for the cowboys instead of bsing with someone on the sideline.
To me this seems like a New York article giving fans in the area more hope that LeBron will head your way in a few seasons. Not saying he wont....but still.

Is this all we have to talk about? He has a favorite football team and a favorite baseball team, and they happen not to play in Cleveland...SO WHAT??? Does he do his job here in Cleveland from late fall through the summer? YES! Just because he plays in Cleveland doesn't mean he has to live and breathe for the other teams in the city. This is getting real old people. He likes who he likes. MOVE ON.

He doesn't support stinking, boring, losing teams. Who does? Everybody loves the Cowboys and almost everybody loves the Yankees so why should James be any different just because he had the misfortune of being born in Ohio and being drafted by Cleveland? It wasn't his fault he was born in that stinking place! And as soon as he becomes a free agent, he will get out of Cleveland. However, when he becomes a free agent, he would fit a lot better down with the Mavs and close to the Cowboys than up in NYC with the stinking, losing Knicks.

who really cares what "other" teams lebron james likes?! he is not the first and not the last person to "not" root for his hometown team. fans in cleveland should be glad that lebron likes the cleveland cavaliers. because not many other players actually wanted to play for the cavs.

I say root for whoever the hell you want. Cleveland fans should get a grip!!! It's not like he is wearing a New York Knicks hat or something. Does that mean that when John Elway's son decided to attend Arizona State, Elway still has to root for Stanford when ASU and Stanford play each other, and Elway has to hope his son performs bad????

lpzj.............your sad attempts to knock LeBron are looking rather weak. I just thought I would point that out.
Anyone besides lpzj think I am crazy for saying LeBron is the best player in the NBA? Unless you are a Laker fan......I am sure you will not disagree with me.

Lebron is a grown man and can cheer for any team he pleases. Doesn't everyone else cheer for who they like even if it's not their home team? People should just mind their own business and let that man live his life because at the end of the day he is still a Cavalier and plays his heart out for Cleveland!

Soon enough Lebron won't even be rooting for the Cavs, he'll be the one beating them down. The Cavs management sucks. If it works out well, then getting Mo Williams might just be the first good thing I've seen them do since they drafted Lebron, not that it took any skill to pick Lebron first overall, it was kinda a no-brainer. They''ve made only bad moves so far in their attempts to help Lebron win a title. Signing Hughes was horrible. Then they traded him for Big Ben, who is highly overpaid, and can't do anything anymore. They didn't get the inside scoring presence they need to help out Lebron. Why would Lebron stay in Cleveland? How is he going to win a championship with Williams or Szczerbiak as his #2? He can't. He needs a Pippen to his Jordan. Get ready to see James next to Vince Carter in a Nets jersey.

last time i checked LeBron is under contract to play for the NBA's Cleavland Cav's...not the NFL' s Browns or the MLB's Indians...it's not complicated folks...and it's really not that serious. I grew up with a group of guys who fortunaetly understood how idiotic it was to simply root for a team because you live in the city...in my group of close friends we had Sixer's fans because Dr.J was their favorite player, Celtic fans cause liked Bird, or Rocket fans because they liked Hakeem...and even those rooted for the Lakers it was because they loved Magic..that's it!
Now please leave him alone...he likes the Yanks and Cowboys...get over it!
