Warriors looking for spark from bench players

All season the Golden State Warriors have been carried by Baron Davis, Stephen Jackson and Monta Ellis. Now, the Warriors' top two captains are calling for help.

"We got to get somebody that you don't expect to show up to show up some nights," Jackson stressed after Golden State's loss to the Denver Nuggets on Saturday. "Teams are really starting to play us on our guys. They want to take away my quick three-pointers. ... They try to take Monta's left away.

"We need somebody on the bench to get us going, to help us these last couple of games, because that's what we had last year. We had Matt (Barnes) playing well, (Mickael Pietrus) playing well, and we needed that. And that's what we need now."

    The west could not be more exciting than now. I'm not a Warriors fan but I hope they make it.

    warriorsall the way...BD..they know they can block the lay up..Monta..yu know yu too quick for Barbosa..and who hits the three's like Stevie...i know a lot of ppl are sleeping on Azubuike..but time will tell...l

    Golden State is sick. And I mean that in the best possible way. I just can't decide who I'd rather see in the playoffs -- J-Kidd and Dirk, AI and Melo, or the Warriors. There are just too many great teams out west.

    This is coming from a Warriors fan here. It is really to bad that one of the 3 teams Dallas, Warriors , or Denver won't make the playoffs. While Atlanta or Jersey will over in the east. Oh well. This has definitely been one of the most exciting playoff runs I have ever seen!

    Patrick O'Bust isn't even on the main roster anymore, he decided to go down to the bakersfield jam (the dub's d-league affiliate).

    YES...We need more B.Wright aka KITTYHAWK. O'bryant wanted to goto the D-League so screw him. Plus when he did get in he looked lost. Although I am still miffed at why Nellie doesn't play b.wright more. I understand he wants to win every game but playing right now will only help wright develop.

    Azubuike has given them solid minutes all season. Pietrus was really coming on before his untimely injury. Harrington's game has not been consistent lately and he's been getting into early foul trouble. I think Nelson should go to Wright first off the bench before Croshere and get Barnes back into the regular rotation. Biggest problem is they don't have a credible backup for BD so he has to play big minutes every night and its wearing on him.

    Why doesn't Nelson play Biedrins more all he does is produce.If your not going to use him trade him to Jersey we could use him.
