Barely a month remains until the Golden State Warriors' training camp opens, and negotiations between the team and coach Don Nelson remain as they have for weeks: stalled out.

The two sides are scheduled to talk in the next few days with hopes of jump-starting a process that is threatening to fracture the franchise's most successful team in more than a decade.

"I have a lot of respect for (Warriors president) Bobby Rowell. Our talks are not over and I'm hopeful we can get it done," said John O'Connor, Nelson's attorney.

Warriors, now you know why the Mavs fired this coach, ha! ha! Oh yeah sure, you won the first round in the playoffs, but you guys will never advance further than that. The Mavs learned that the hard way and so now, we leave you with this pain in the butt coach who probably bet with Tim Donaghy to pass-by the first round, then ask for more money just like he's doing now. I wonder what's Donaghy's cut with this scam.

Isn't it typical for sports coaches who win...they take all the credit when they win, and none when they lose. All Championship teams in any sport wins because of TEAM WORK, not 1 coach. Nellie, your a good motivator, but no rings!! Warriors Owners, your cheap, pay for the players who will win the championship. Look at Chicago, they had the players with MJ and his support staff. Yes MJ is one of lifetime player, but he still had a good support staff who performed under pressure also! Give Oakland an NBA Ring. Make Nellie's contract incentive based. So many wins, so much money, playoff series wins, so much money, Championship, change Nellie's name to God!

All the players play the same game. It is expected. Nelson will add to his bonafides with the players when he extracts what he can from the organization. Nelson has always made decisions based upon business. It's always just business with the players and it's never personal. Nelson is consistent. It is great to have a coach the players respect.

To all of you Maverick fans; Until your team wins a NBA Championship, you cannot talk about teams that have won a NBA Championship. The Warriors have won three (3) NBA Championships in their franchise history. YOU BETTER RECOGNIZE. WARRIOR FOR LIFE

Nellie is just waiting for the "media" to force the Warriors to pony up...He got them to the playoffs with good trades, despite an injury plague starting rotation. Giving this coach around $4.75 with major incentives should prove to be a dynasty. Look out for Monte Ellis and Baron to become one of the elite back courts in 08. Pay the man!! Nellie needs to Believe!

For all the talk about incentives...From what I understand his contract already has incentives built in and he wants those incentives turned into guaranteed money. If he can't get the warriors into the playoffs, then he shouldn't get paid like a playoff coach.

Regular Season standings mean NOTHING!!!! Prove it when it counts and then you can write all you want. All you band wagon mav's fan's need to just sit back and choose another team in Texas that might have a chance...like I don't know...the SPURS!!!!!! We didn't hear from you when your team had Mashburn and Kidd. Typical band wagon fans!!! You look to your little nazi Dirk to lead you somewhere but you know what...give it up!!!!! Your team ain't goin nowhere!!! You tell these warrior fans their team is whack?! Hypocrites!!! Diop is a waste of space in the middle, Dirk is too, too, too, too soft (like his fans), Howard is inconsistant and injury-prone, Terry is a terrible team player, and Harris needs to learn how to shoot. Uuummmmm...no contest, warriors pretty much have their number. Oh, and I bet all warrior fan's thank Blow a fuse Cuban for getting Dampier off their hands. Nice signing, he's sure worth all that $. Suckas!!!!!!!!!
