NBA - Sports Rumors

“StephenStephen Jackson(notes) has been saying plenty of stuff about the Golden State Warrirors front office in order to aid his quick removal from the team, either by trade or buyout. Now he's apparently trying to drag his teammates into the mess, according to the Contra Costa Times.

He is apparently upset with his teammates that they didn't "get his back" when he picked up five fouls and one technical in nine minutes. "Nobody reacted but me so the team didn't have a reaction," he said. "It was only me standing up for myself. I don't think anybody else stood up for me. But if the shoe was on the other foot, I would have stood up for somebody on my team."

Brilliant move by Jackson. You can be sure Jackson's teammates aren't comnng close to getting his back from here on out.

stephen jackson is a class act.
nellie is the problem. he has been a cancer to every team he has coached and the front office is incompetent.
it's obvious that monta ellis, corey maggette are all turned off by nelson.
FIRE NELSON! (and get rid of curry. he sucks)

I can't blame the game for being upset with his teammates. But the problem is Nelson and it's time for him to go. He's turned off his team and the players are improving themselves for the most part. Time for a change..new ownership, new front office, new coach...And whoever said they should get rid of Curry is smoking a little too much. Dude has been KILLING Ellis in practice. He can get his shot off against anybody and is learning to create for others.

#6 You call that a class act. Stephen Jackson is the cancer here. I agree that warriors front office is mess up and the owner should sell this team to some1 capable. But that doesnt mean Jackson can do what he did during the couple days now and now this. The warrior organization and its fans know Jackson needs to go. But all they're asking is to be a proffesional till he gets rightly traded and stop being jack@s for christ sake. He is just lowering his trade value adding to the fact asking for an extension after couple of months he asked for a trade. Jackson his going "VC" on us but I say warriors stop him from doing this. If we cant trade him, warriors should go marbury on him and tell him to go away and not even come to games.
I dont see how Nelson have to do with this because i think warriors have a decent team since he came although he is very unpredictableness is proably bringing some players down.
06-07 Pulled the "Greatest Upset" in the NBA
07-08 48 wins but did not make the playoffs
08-09 Everybody knows what happened to Monta and warriors were plague with injuries all season.
And about Curry we would see what happens.

No.5-If Warriors release Jackson he can sign with CAVS or anyother team. He would provide good outside shooting plus he can put the ball on the floor. His defense is good not great. Regarding big "Z "he has been finished for at least 4-5 yrs. No inside game what so ever. Total defensive liability(reference-Orlando in the playoffs last yr and Spurs in finals a few yrs ago)The CAVS would never let him go in order to sign Jackson. Lebron would never give his permission. He basically calls the shots!

jax had artest's back in detroit- so he has and acts by his 'code'. it's pretty much a playground code.
and he let kobe get in his head, it's pretty funny that kobe offended jax by calling him 'young fella'- so what does jax do? has another tantrum, like a... uh... hmmm... how you say- ...young fella?

    #10,
While I agree, not sure why people say Z is done (10-8 is likely even off the bench)......I 'could' see the Cavs moving Z for Jackson.....but ONLY if they are 100% confident that the Warriors would then buyout Z, allowing him to return to the Cavs after 30 days (ala, what McDyess did last year with Detroit after the trade to Denver).
Can you imagine what the the Cavs lineup woul look like if they could pull that off?
starting: Mo, Jackson, Lebron, Varejao, Shaq
backup: Delonte, Parker, Moon, Hickson, Z
That backup 5 is better than 10 teams starting 5 in this league!

a persons 'true character' is revealed in times of stress and when not everything's going your way... along with his troubled history, jax has, in better times, shown signs of strong character and even true leadership qualities... but he always seems to end up back here- selfish and uncool about handling his business. he's free to do any thing and act any way that he wants, but why does he have to take the team/fans/and other innocents down because he doesn't like something, as if no one else on the warriors is frustrated and sick of lame management and losing?
...but then, maybe he'll be the reason things really implode to then come back together, well managed and stronger, the sinking ship righted, and we'll remember him with warmth and reverence, as a hero and a savior, and we'll celebrate stephen jackson day- with lots of delicious flaky turnovers, and by shooting guns into the air (and missing), and lots and lots and lots of talking about whose fault it is that we missed, and everyone face scrunching and head shaking and (self) wrist-slapping...
...and then finally there'll be the stephen jackson look-alike contest- which will be practically impossible for anyone to win... it'll all be so much fun!!
now if he'll just go away...

your teamates didn't back u because u were wrong...the coach didn't back u either...hmmm, maybe, just maybe it was u,, stephen that was wrong...but the bigger issue here is Robert Rowell, he is the one who underminded Mullin, and now here we are. Also, Rowell and Nelson promised Jackson they were bringing in Veterans, ( stoudamire) and team improvement...not rookies and growing from the ground up, If i were Jack...I would b pissed 2

#14, AP66, good call on the Starbury reference. He's following the Starbury "poor me" handbook step by step, and going out of his way to alienate himself from anybody and everybody that once supported him. Just when you thought me-first idiots like him were gone or at least silent for a little while, here comes the new voice of the modern day team cancer, Steven Jackson! At least Gilbert "Agent Zero Sense" Areanas is not talking to the media anymore, so we don't have to listen to his sorry @ss!

The team should hav had his back. On any vet team they would hav ran to his defense. The young team in the GS has stars and talent but no leaders . Ask Ron Ron is Jacks a leader or that Whole team that upset the Mavs. Nellie is the real problem here because he kills his players in the press. Barnellie gets traded because nellie doesnt like him and he was very talented. Anthony Randolph still isnt a starter and they try to run Jax at the 4......... All u guys who just come to judge make sure u know the story. a lil research would help IDIOTS
