Walton's up and down season continues

Luke Walton's yo-yo season continued in a 72-hour slice of basketball for the Los Angeles Lakers. He couldn't miss against Seattle last Friday, scoring 17 points on eight-for-11 shooting and adding five rebounds and four assists. Two days later, he had four points and three turnovers against Golden State.

Then on Monday, he was somewhere in between in a rematch with the Warriors — eight points, seven rebounds, three assists.

"His outside shot — right now, they're just backing off him," Jackson said. "As a result, he's trying to get involved in there and it's tough to do when people just disregard your outside shot. So he has to hit a shot, he has to take a shot, he has to make some shots. . . . If he isn't, he has to continue to create things for other guys, which he is capable of doing."

I am in Belize right now, and watched the Warriors game last night. I didn't think it was possible to get in a bad mood in paradise. I did however. watching Walton is brutal. They need to bail him ASAP!

If Luke doesn't watch out, he is going to find himself playing behind Ariza next year.

Luke is sometimes frustrating be he's a Laker like him or not..... He's on our team....He contribute's sometimes more than others...so you can't bang on him too much....I hope he can find some consistancy.....for a playoff run.

Luuuuuke is having a very inconsistent year. I don't see the Lakers dumping him though. But there have to be a lot of teams out there that would be interested if the Lakers ever put him on the block. Right now he doesn't have a defined role with this lineup, it hasn't helped the Lakers can't seem to keep the same rotation for any length of time. Araiza is the new Michael Cooper. Farmar is a true point and Ronny and Mihm are definite post players. Both Sasha and Radman are the designated shooters. Where does Luke fit in? BTW, if anybody thinks the refs were for the Lakers explain the call on Kobe for stepping into the lane on a free throw. Pulleeeeze! The refs were equally screwing both teams.

Brick Walton is a turn-over waiting to happen . And now its catching Some of the other LAKERS have caught the bug . Why does Phil insists on playing this guy so many min. I guess with all the injuries he has to play the guy . I just wish he would cut some of his min.

Well hopefully the lakers get back Gasol and Bynum soon so they get some playing time before the playoffs. Kobe should get MVP if the Lake Show prevails and comes in first in the west and winds the playoffs.

....LA. CHAMPS......Your right Phil has a soft spot for Luke.....Maybe he's see's a bit of his old self in him....LOL........Luke has digressed this season and its hurt us....I thought he could become a Mike Miller type playa for us and it hasn't happened....Probably never will....Only thing I don't see the team cutting him loose in a harsh way cause his old man Bill will trash the franchise for it.....Maybe he gets packaged up in a trade.....For the money he's gettin their are much better guys out there.

Legend, you need to relax. The Lakers weren't going to lose that game, even without the bad call. It was a good game and one bad call, but the Lakers weren't going to lose that game.
