Miami Heat guard Dwyane Wade was not with the team on its morning flight to Orlando and will miss Wednesday night's game against the Magic the Miami Herald reported.
Wade, who has been coping with flu-like symptoms the past three days, left Tuesday's game against the Celtics in the second half for treatment. He scored a season-low seven points on 1-of-9 shooting and played just 28 minutes in the Heat's 117-87 loss.
Wade's absence leaves the Heat (9-34) without three starters for the game against the Magic (28-18), which has won seven consecutive games against Miami. Heat forward Udonis Haslem also did not travel Wednesday to rest a severe left ankle sprain he sustained in the second quarter against Boston. An x-ray Tuesday night was negative, but Haslem could miss at least a week.
