Grant Hill came to US Airways Center on Monday morning with news that surprised coach Mike D'Antoni. He was ready to return to action after missing Saturday's game because of a lingering groin strain he suffered March 19. But during the course of the shootaround, Hill began to re-examine his plan, and he and the Phoenix Suns staff decided that he would sit out Monday's and Tuesday's games.
The hope is that Hill could return for the game Friday at home against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
"I think he misses until he's completely well," D'Antoni said. "I don't want him to play until he gets normal."
Hill also has been nursing a right-wrist sprain that has contributed to his scoring average going from 14.5 points per game until he injured it on March 13 to a 6.3 since then. Hill said the wrist injury alone would not keep him out of games.

As a Magic fan, this kind of makes me happy, not that I would wish injury on anyone. He injured his groin while playing for the Magic and was out for like two months...Good luck with that...

WHo grant hill? And at what cost? D'anphony only plays 8 players. Now 7 w/ out hill. Players are going to be very tired if hill doesn't come back soon.
Lakers have been missing 2 starters since january, and 3 starters almost 3 weeks now. Not to mention, our backup center Chris Mihm out since December. Of course the Lakers are going to lose some games when you have a 6'10 Turiaf as your STARTING center!!!
And guess what, even without all these injuries, Lakers still have a better record (we own the tiebreaker)

Shaq is at the point of his career, like Grant Hill, where the only challenge left is to defy the odds of aging and injuries. A title with the Suns may not quiet all the critics, but it will remain one of the most unpredictable and unbelievable trades where Age & Power meets Prime & Speed. "GO SUNS!!!!!!!!"
