NBA - Scoop Du Jour

Rajon Rondo(notes) has one year left on his current deal with the Boston Celtics and the team has apparently asked him to come to training camp a little bit early so the two sides can try and work out an extension, according to the Boston Globe.

Rondo is apparently very excited about playing with some of the new faces of the Celtics: Rasheed Wallace(notes) and Marquis Daniels(notes), specifically.

He's also apparently planning to be "more vocal" this season. "I'm more confident, obviously. I stepped up a little and I want to take advantage of this opportunity," he told the paper. Let's see how that translates into extension dollars.
