Rasheed Wallace in Dallas, but was it to talk to Mavs?

Reports indicate Detroit Pistons forward Rasheed Wallace(notes) was in Dallas over the weekend partying at the Ritz, according to Dallasbasketball.com.

However, the web site was not certain the visit to Texas had anything to do with joining the Mavericks.

The Mavs may also have to cross Raymond Felton(notes) off their wish list, according to Dallasbasketball.com.

Charlotte Bobcats executive Michael Jordan said "I don't see any situation where he's not with us. "I anticipate us keeping Raymond Felton, without a doubt."

    Forget Sheed. He's overrated and egomaniacle. Now that Yao is most likely out for the season, maybe Houston would want Dampier for a year. Make a deal for Artest or a 3 team trade for a legit scorer.

    Haha, as a Pistons fan would love to see Sheed stick around in Detroit for league minimum, but it won't happen so what better than to ruin the Mavericks, LOL. Don't worry Mavs fans, now you can make a new excuse for all the choking you have done!!

    Dallas, anyone! Take him please! Rasheed has to go. I like the guy and all, and he was a big part of the '04 championship, but we need a power forward to be more of an inside presence. Most of the time it seems like he's phoning it in anyways...

    Getting Sheed would be a bad move for anyone. This is coming from a Spurs fan. Everyone in San Antone is talking about trying to get Sheed also. Why? He hasn't really played good for the last 2 years. Dallas And the Spurs have to get younger(and better) if anything is going to make either team a relavent playoff contender. Sheed needs to go somewhere else but Texas. He'd hate it here.

    #17, obviously you're not a true spurs fan, or not very knowledgable. what the spurs need is a big man to defend and help out duncan. Oberto, thomas, bonner, elson, mohammed have not been the answer in the past. getting a proven player like sheed would make the spurs lineup the best in the nba. The reason that sheed hasn't played good is the coaching in detroit, pop would have him on check if he went to san antonio.
