Looks like Kobe Bryant(notes) and Raja Bell(notes) will get to keep battling with each other rather than become best buddies. Bryant's meeting with Bell on Wednesday night to try and to convince him to become a Los Angeles Lakers never had to happen.

ESPN is reporting that Bell has signed a three-year, $10 million contract with the Utah Jazz, which had just signed Al Jefferson(notes) the day before that.

The site says Bell, who only played six games last year for the Golden State Warriors and Charlotte Bobcats due to a wrist injury, had big interest from the Lakers, San Antonio Spurs, Miami Heat and Chicago Bulls, but went to the Jazz.

ESPN notes that the Bulls had sent Bell a two-year offer that was worth more than $8 million but with a totally incentive-laden second year.
