Young Indiana Pacers point guard Darren Collison(notes) averaged 13.2 points, 2.8 rebounds and 5.1 assists throughout the season, but the team lost his services Monday night when he inadvertently stepped on a cameraman's foot with less than three minutes left in the first half and hurt his ankle.

"He lay on the ground momentarily, slapping the ground in frustration before going straight to the locker room," the Indianapolis Star reports. "He tried to warm up at halftime by jogging, but he couldn't continue."

The team, now down two games to none to the Chicago Bulls, is listing him as day-to-day. A.J. Price(notes) and T.J. Ford(notes) took over at point guard.

Collison has till Thursday's Game 3 to rehab his ankle.
