Knicks head coach Mike D'Antoni isn't showing much inclination toward playing guard Nate Robinson(notes) at all. Robinson has sat the bench for nine games straight now and isn't even getting in on mop-up duty.
Robinson's agent let the team (and the public) know that his client wants out by buyout or trade if the situation is going to stay this way. But Robinson is saying now that he wants to finish his one-year, $4 million deal out in New York - if the team will play him, according to the New York Times.
The Knicks have gone 6-3 without Robinson. "We've been winning lately. I'm trying to keep the formula going and trying to get as many wins as we can. That's my job," said D'Antoni.
Robinson's response: "This is where I want to be and if this is where I can be and where I can play, then I want to stay."
