Most teams wouldn't mind being the Los Angeles Lakers, what with two straight NBA titles and a current second-place standing in the Western Conference. But word surfaced that Mitch Kupchak is considering making trades, and now Lakers legend and team vice president Magic Johnson admits being worried about the team, according to the Los Angeles Times.
One thing in particular that is bothering him is that the team has gone 1-4 against teams with better records, the paper notes. "I think the Lakers are in trouble," he said, according to the Times. "I want to see more from them. I'm excited to see them Thursday."
On Thursday, the Lakers can shut down a lot of this talk if they can beat the visiting San Antonio Spurs, the Western Conference's first-place team with the NBA's best record at 40-8.
