The San Antonio Spurs and Los Angeles Clippers have discussed a trade involving Corey Maggette, but one NBA source said the deal likely won't happen. Maggette would likely get fewer minutes with the Spurs than the 26.3 minutes he's logging with the Clips. Also, Maggette has frustrated current and former coaches with his reluctance to defend and play a role, a couple of things the Spurs would ask of him.
The Spurs would send guards Brent Barry and Beno Udrih. Barry is second in the league in three-point accuracy.

PS: I am a former Mavericks fan, who has been swayed by the Spurs and their demeanor on and off the floor!!

Let the Clippers wallow away with Maggette. Our Spurs will be Champs with Brent & Beno.
Go Spurs!

Brent Barry and Beno Udrih have greater team chemistry than Maggette. You'd be disrupting and very defensive minded team. Unless you think that Maggette is going to play team ball...but maybe you can send __ Williams. He hasn't played that much all season because of injury, and then he doesn't get in but on certain points in the game. So that would be an even trade. I hope you reconsider your way of thinking and don't trade Brent and Beno.
