Mark Cuban said he was bothered by the Los Angeles Lakers-Memphis Grizzlies trade that sent Pau Gasol to Los Angeles for Kwame Brown, Javaris Crittenton, Aaron McKie and draft picks, widely regarded as one of the most one-sided deals in league history.

"Yeah, it bothers me," he said. "I want to be on the same committee as [Gregg] Popovich."

Popovich, coach of the San Antonio Spurs, said the league should have a trade-review committee and that he would have vetoed the Lakers-Grizzlies deal if he had a vote.

Cuban will complain about anything... excuse after excuse for why his teams don't win.
Maybe it's because their owner is a douchebag.

Lakers on a role even without Bynam, as soon as he returns, we are going to the top, nothing is going to stop this star from rising, nothing can stop the Lakers and nothing is going to stop Obama, both are proven winners.

Just wondering, are they crying because the Suns got Shaq? If I remember correctly everyone was crying when the Lakers got Wilt and again when they got Kareem. Same old same old. People can not stand it when anything good happens to Big Brother Los Angeles! Guess it's time to make some more "Beat LA" signs if that makes you feel better! Nice trade Lakers! Are you happy now Kobe? You better be and don't even think about trying to opt out or renegotiate that contract of yours!

Why didn't anyone speak out when the Lakers traded Caron for Kwame? Kwame was just as big a bust then as he is now. These teams are always talking about how they don't want to help the Lakers. Well, consider this karma. These teams could have traded much lesser players to the Lakers for Kwame, who was on the market.
Also, where was "this committee" when the Wolves gave away KG? Nobody was "bothered" that the Celtics picked up two all-stars overnight for a bunch of draft picks and journeymen? Please, give me a break.

How come when lakers can pull off a big trade they always look like a bad guy? I bet this is why kupchak didn't want to make moves in the first place. For all the complaints other teams make. When lakers traded shaq everyone said it was a big mistake. When lakers traded caron for kwame was the same thing. And finally when lakers do something good for themselves people have to complain. And its not just cause they don't have gasol but the fact that they don't have kobe either. And besides I didn't hear anyone complain about garnett going to boston. Punks like cuban and pop don't worry about trades unless it happens on the east coast and doesn't effect their chances of going to the finals.

    #17:
Those teams can whine all they want. It makes no difference. What they're doing is psychologically accepting the fact that the Laker may beat them down the road. That's a great message to send you team, isn't it? "Hey guys, we may not be able to beat the Lakers for much longer." By whining, they're basically admitting as much.

i don't think anyone should have a say in the trade other than the teams doin the trade...if one team wants to trade one of their top players for 3 others and a pick...that's on them....noone should have a say in it NOT EVEN CUBAN OR POPIVICH.....they are just upset cuz the lakers are gonna run the west......

The only reason they are bothered is because other teams in the west are making moves to become better then there teams. They should stop crying about it and try to do something to make there teams bettter. I bet if a lop sided trade came there way they wouldnt reject it because it favored them.

If two GMs/franchises are willing to deal, fine. If one team decides to bite the bullet, fine, in order to benefit themselves for cap space and draft picks. Now I think the bigger issue is when a team tanks for a high draft pick. Neither scenario will make fans happy. The tanking scenario, is simply wrong.. it may involve telling coaches to tank or it may be telling players to tank. The Gasol trade,. could be viewed as management giving the team no opportunity to win regardless of coach or players decision but in the minds management their decision was right. BUT when the decision to lose is given to coaches or players that is ABSOLUTELY wrong

I agree with the Laker fans that the Gasol trade was great for them, and all others should just get over it. Now, all Laker fans, please get over Shaq going to the Suns. OK?
