Sacramento Kings rookie DeMarcus Cousins(notes) wasn't allowed to fly with his teammates from Oklahoma City to Phoenix on Saturday night after he got into an altercation with teammate Donte Greene(notes) in the locker room after the game, ESPN reports.
Cousins actually boarded the plane before being told to leave by coach Paul Westphal, this after GM Geoff Petrie ordered him to do so, according to Yahoo! Sports' Marc J. Spears. Instead of heading to Arizona for Sunday night's contest against the Phoenix Suns, Cousins flew back to Sacramento, where the team is deciding whether he needs more punishment.
The issue? Well, according to Spears, Greene passed the ball to Tyreke Evans(notes) instead of to Cousins on the last play of the game and Evans missed his 3-point attempt, as the Kings lost 97-95 to the Oklahoma City Thunder.
ESPN points out that Cousins hasn't exactly had an easy first season. He's been fined for mouthing off to a training staffer and gotten thrown out of practice for yapping at coach Paul Westphal.
