NBA - Scoop Du Jour

Atlanta Hawks guard Joe Johnson(notes) is an unrestricted free agent this summer and there is a belief that the New York Knicks will be coming after him hard after very likely getting turned down by Dwyane Wade(notes) and LeBron James(notes).

But the New York Post has it that Johnson isn't going to leave Atlanta, partly because he "never is critiqued, criticized or cursed" no matter what he does. There's not one Knick of recent seasons who can relate to that.

The source also tells the Post that Johnson knows "he knows he's getting max money [or close to it] from Atlanta if someone so much as bats their eyebrows lovingly."

The Knicks may have a lot of money to spend but it's not going to be easy to find those top-quality players who will take it.
