Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban is not a big fan of letting his players play for their national teams. In fact, he generally won't do it. This summer he didn't allow Dirk Nowitzki(notes) or J.J. Barea to do it.
But now here comes Nathan Jawai(notes), the 6'10" forward who came over from the Toronto Raptors as part of the Shawn Marion(notes) deal. Jawai is having a grand old time playing for Team Australia this summer. So what gives?
Cuban has apparently never actually said anything to Jawai and hasn't expressed discomfort with Jawai playing for his national team so there is some speculation that one-year pro Jawai isn't likely to be sticking around in Dallas.
