For the second time in three days, the New York Knicks' embattled president and head coach, Isiah Thomas, said he expects to remain with the club beyond this season the New York Daily News reported.

"Yeah, I'll be here," Thomas said Friday before the Knicks self-destructed in the final six minutes and lost, 99-93, to the Atlanta Hawks Friday night.

When asked if he has been given any assurances that he is safe, Thomas said, "I have a contract that states that."

Herb William should get a chance at coaching again, he's been around paid his dues and unlike Isiah is respected by the players. But Dolan is to much in bed with Isiah to do anything right

Salt City sports is reporting that the Knick games will no longer be broadcast on TV or radio due to an outbreak of a large number of Knick fans becoming sick when watching the games. When asked for comment Isiah said " Not Larry Bird,Not James Dolan not even an act of Congress is going to stop me from coaching the Knicks and the fans can eat cake"

chances are he will be around next season. i'm sure Dolan is Tired of paying people to sit at home (Lenny Wilkens, Don Chaney, Larry Miserable Brown. question is, in what capacity? surely Dolan will have someone in place to try and find ways to move some of these unproductive players who make a ton of money. i wouldnt mind Isaiah's input on the draft though. will Dolan allow Isaiah to stay on as coach but strip him of GM duties? i don't know but it appears that he is unable to get consistent play from guys He drafted, traded for and signed. and if thats the case how can he be allowed to coach another year?

Isiah might hold court in basketball for being a success as far as wealth and a player but he will always be labled a loser in New York. rumor has it that he may keep his coaching title n lose the gm title Plz! he says they're gettn better they could have easily one 7 games in a row Hmm if there losing by alittle dont you think a good coach can get them over the hump then?Laughing stock is what it is! and He seems to be takn these players down with him and can these players see what hes doing to there reputation also.

well fans, there is another stagnant year in New York. When Thomas is finally fired, just add about 8 years and you should be clear of his $h1t

In fairness to the guy the players that he took are marque players only they posses an ugly attitude that destroys the entire orgn Steve Francis and Marbury to name a few. Steve thought he was the franchise and Marbury thought that he was the starbury of the orgn. See how they destroyed the chemistry of the NYK these are the headache of Isiah. He give these guys millions but because of their quarel the entire NYK got affected, the result? Confusion, chaosness. So just give Isiah a chance to get players whom he think can give NYK the break that they need.

Rick Carlisle and Chris Mullin for coach and president of the Knicks. Gut the whole roster. We don't have 5 guys that are worth the exorbitant ticket prices for the Garden. Run a fire sale to put a top 5 lotto player in the Garden and a late lotto pick. It's time to kill our get an over priced free agent philosophy and get some folks in the front office that can evaluate talent. Look at Portland, New Orleans and Utah and follow their models of patient building through the draft.

I totally agree with you Gadi B.
Boycott all the Live games in the Garden unless Thomas is fired as GM and a Coach of the Knicks, then sponsors will try to pull out all their advertisements then no live telecast of the games in MSG, then I think Dolan would give way in getting rid of his Doggy Thomas!!!!!

Benedict XVI, your papal fallibility is showing. Of course, you're right about the live games, but fans need to boycott the broadcasts too, and cancel Cablevision. Loss of ad revenue + loss of subscribers Daddy Dolan's unnatural love for Lil Arseface Jimmy.

OK time to be sick again... of course fans should stop going to the garden,, yet most of the high paid tickets are corporate and are paid way in advance..i am not counting on this guy being here again... he is hopeful and he does have a contract... the fans who go to games need to be LOUDERRRR and LOUDER about the impeachment of ISIAH...YES FIRE ISIAH!! there are a few GM;S that can make a difference and a few coaches also.. the teams effort most of the time is near to nothing.. then again they don;t have one great player..never mind 2 great players.. yes they need to have a big time draft lottery this year.. to put this guy back on the court would only DISGRACE NYC once more...we want RESPECT back again and a legit team.!!

Well, I've never been a Spike Lee fan, and I've never bought into him being a NYK fan. In my book, he's always been a self-promoting fraud and punk. So its no surprise to see him rubbing his parts with Thomas, another self-promoting fraud and punk. If Spike could get a front row seat at MSG, he'd go watch a turd-rolling marathon if it was televised.

I laugh when he talks like he is doing such a fabulous job. Everywhere he has gone, he's failed. He was the GM in Toronto and that franchise took years before it was even competitive. After he was run out of Toronto, he took over the CBA and it folded. He went to the Pacers and they could wait to get rid of him. Now, he's in New York, the biggest city in the league, and he's turned a proud franchise into a punchline.
