The Miami Heat didn't need the help of power forward Udonis Haslem(notes) to take down the Boston Celtics in Game 1 of the second-round playoff matchup, but he is finally ready to return from November foot surgery sometime during this series, according to the Fort Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel.

"Right now I'm continuing to try to chip away, get in better shape, continue to try to get my rhythm, my timing, get some explosion back," he said, the paper reports, "and when coach lets me know, I'll go out there."

On the days after workouts, Haslem is no longer feeling it, the paper notes. Instead, Haslem said that he wakes up "rejuvenated" and "ready to do it all over again," according to the Sun-Sentinel.

Haslem points out that even if he is not at his peak athletically and timing-wise, he could bring a "physical aspect" to the game that might help out the Heat, the Sun-Sentinel reports.
