Gordan Giricek was neither surprised nor nostalgic when he was dealt from the Utah Jazz to the Philadelphia 76ers.
This season, Giricek had seen limited playing time and had an ongoing feud with veteran coach Jerry Sloan. Giricek said he wasn't surprised by the trade because he had asked for the move.
"I loved the city, but somehow I couldn't find a right spot with the team," he said. "The only thing I asked always is to be respected as a man. Not as a basketball player, just as a man. And I didn't feel that was so."

Did you notice that Okur missed 5 straight games & the Jazz lost them all? Then when Okur came back Sloan kept playing Milsap? And the Jazz are still losing. Is it that Okur isn't getting it done, or the Jazz can't get it done withoiut Okur? Remember the Jazz have been 10-4 without Boozer this year and last year. Okur played so well without Boozer that he made the all-star team last year.

Korver to play Jeff Hornacek. And he loves Milsap because he played @ La. Tech like Malone.
Sloan has dissed Kirilenko, & Giricek, and is playing Milsap over Okur even though Okur is ready to play.
Since benching Giracek, & no longer getting Williams to share the ball with Kirilenko, and playing Milsap over Okur, The Jazz have been the worst team in the NBA.
I used to respect Sloan, but his obvious disdain for foreign players makes him just like most posters on here. SICK!
