The Spurs didn't just lose the game last night. The team also lost Manu Ginobili(notes), who left the FedEx Forum "stiff-legged, with a gait recalling that of Frankenstein's monster" because of a left quadriceps contusion, according to the San Antonio Express-News. The injury "cast into doubt his availability for Monday's home game against" the Portland Trail Blazers, the paper notes.
"At first, when I came to the bench, I thought I was going to be OK," Ginobili said, the paper reports. "Then it stiffened up. I can't put my full weight on it."
The Express-News notes that the injury "is not considered serious, but it is considered painful" and that it "is not immediately clear how long Ginobili might be unavailable."
The 6-7 guard from Argentina is averaging 17.8 points, 3.7 rebounds and 5 assists per game.
