Whenever the NBA season gets underway again, Memphis Grizzlies center Marc Gasol(notes) will be a restricted free agent, but he really would rather not move to another team, according to the Memphis Commercial Appeal.
The 26-year-old, 7-0 Gasol, who just helped lead Spain to its second consecutive championship Sunday, was selected in the second round of the 2007 draft by the Los Angeles Lakers and then traded to Memphis.
"I grew up in Memphis. I feel like it's my home," Gasol said, according to the Commercial Appeal. "They always say it's a business and there are bad sides to the business. We have to wait until it plays out. But I'm looking forward to something good happening."
He averaged 11.7 points, seven rebounds and 1.7 blocks per game last season.
