NBA - Scoop Du Jour

The NBA has already thrown out the first two weeks of the season and is rumored to be very close to ditching the next two as well.

Meanwhile, Detroit Pistons guard Rodney Stuckey(notes), who will be a restricted free agent when the lockout ends, is being wooed by a team in China, according to ESPN.

The 25-year-old left Eastern Washington University after his sophomore year and has now been in the league for four seasons. His next step may be playing for the Guangdong Southern Tigers. The site points out that one thing that may be holding up the deal is the Chinese Basketball Association's rule that players who sign on with a team must commit to the entire season and not be able to return to the states if and when the lockout ends. A player who has signed on with Guangdong is the Washington Wizards power forward Yi Jianlian(notes).

Stuckey averaged 15.5 points, 5.2 assists and 3.1 rebounds last year. It may be that Stuckey could be interested in playing for a winning team. The Pistons went 30-52 last season while the Tigers have won the last four CBA championships and seven of them since the league started in 1995.
