John Paxson

Chicago Bulls general manager John Paxson refuted a report in the Philadelphia Inquirer on Monday that said longtime NBA coach Larry Brown ''has drawn interest'' from the Bulls.

Paxson reiterated that interim coach Jim Boylan, whom Paxson promoted after firing Scott Skiles on Christmas Eve, has the job at least until the end of the season.

''I have not begun the process'' of evaluating coaching options for next season, Paxson said.

Go Bulls! Why hire a guy that leaves town the following year. Larry Brown never learned the word consistency at school.

seriously, what is Johnny P going to say "yeah, we don't want boylan...he's just a temp. we have interest in larry brown". another useless article. he'll look at brown, boylan(not as hard, since he's not doing squat and can't get the "injured" guys to play)...and he'll look at others as well. make a trade Pax...look for the coaching decisions after the season...

3rd...! I think the Bulls could do better with a return of MJ and Pippen, even at this age they'd probably score more and they definitely would have more heart than the whole roster. Only Vince Carter manages to match the Bull's passion for playing. Larry Brown would just make it more complex. Last thing a confused young team needs...

Tired of re-tread coaches names popping up every time there's a coaching vacancy in the NBA.

The bulls don't need brown. Brown goes to a team and then tears the team apart. The bulls are a young team headed in the right direction and after brown tears the team apart it will just slow the growth of the team. The bulls just need to be patient and let the young players develop.

If Pax doesn't make this happen or another big name then he deserves to get fired. Any guy would want this job and Brown has a history of making underachievers succeed, ie Phily, Indiana, Detroit, San Antonio. Sign the guy, the sooner the better!

Larry Brown is like an SOS Staffing employee. You can only expect temp work from this guy. He will be off somewhere else with a contract the next day.

larry would have a heart attack after he sees how much Skiles did to motivate everyone and get them to play above their talent. IF Paxson were intelligent, he'd start trading away for better takent now that everyone thinks so highly of Deng, Gordon, and Hinrich.

I'm sure Larry Brown started that Chicago rumor himself, just to send up a trial balloon. Brown has proven that he will negotiage behind your back. No character, none. And now the years have caught up with him, he has used up all his rep.
Besides, there is plenty of young coaching talent available.
    Pax popped the balloon.

Bulls just needed to give them orther guys a chance and they are doing better every game. Bulls just play as a team like now, also, Ben G needs to learn to be a role player, and Gary has to get more time on the floor he is to good I seem him play in collage and he was one of the best post players in the draft. When Jim sees what every body can do and there limits then the bulls will be unstopable. 'But Thbo/ Deng key to team.

Talking about points off the bench with gordon and they are still losing, its pretty funny to see every game kirk missed the bulls was a better team but soon as he gets back the to much dribbler try to do to much, why don,t he come off the bench along with the whole 6 points wallace bring to the game, wallace and kirk deserves some pine time.

Of course too cheap to go after Brown are the bulls maybe if Reinsdorf didnt have a piece of two teams they would go after somebody decent. They could have gone after Garnett,Kobe,Gasol and now Brown, but of course we have a owner that doesnt want to make this team a contender and a general manager that wont take a chance. Another losing season, but I am still and always will be a bulls fan.

i dont think any team really wants bulls players. the bulls would have had to give up more of their "core" players then any other team interested in a kobe, gasol, etc, etc,. they are a mediocre team who had success in a weak eastern conference a couple of years ago. (led by a coach who paxson hired) the bulls sold out the united center for five seasons after mj under the likes of tim floyd and bill cartwright. sign larry brown, trade for smush parker, trade for vince carter, and you might make it to the eastern conference finals to lose to the pistons, celtics,or cavs (real teams with real players). reinsdorf ruined the bulls after mj because he still saw a profit, a bigger one at that without the revenue taken by players, and we are seeing he aftermath of a business genius at work. i want to start the play aaron gray campaign!!!!!
