Milwaukee Bucks center Andrew Bogut's(notes) family emigrated to Australia from Croatia, which helped lend some credence to the rumor that the 7-footer is planning to play for the Euroleague's Cibona Wolves.
The Sporting News reports that the rumor had Bogut and his father talking to Cibona about playing there if the NBA has a lockout. "We are in direct contact with Andrew (Bogut) and his father Mišo," Cibona Zagreb general manager Josip Vrankovic told the website Vecernji.hr, according to the Sporting News. "Like real patriots, they want to help Cibona, and without any salary, only with paid insurance. Bogut's only condition is that we play at the Euroleague."
However, Bogut rejected the idea via his Twitter account: "Just got word that I'm signing with Cibona if the lookout were to go ahead?? I have NEVER spoken to the president of bball at Cibona."
