NBA - Scoop Du Jour

Portland Trail Blazers swingman Brandon Roy(notes) is always having knee trouble and the Oregonian reports that this could end his career in one or two seasons.

Roy is currently recovering from knee surgery and hopes to return Feb. 18, the paper reports, but he will need to take it easy in practices in order to salvage his knees.

The "consulting surgeon" for the three-time All-Star informed the paper that if the 26-year-old wants to continue playing, the team needs to do the following: "A) Limit Roy's practice reps to almost nothing; B) Play him off the bench in 65-75 or so games a season, choosing rest in key spots; C) pray."

The surgeon predicts that the 2007 NBA Rookie of the Year will only be able to play for one or two more seasons.
